CREOLE WHEAT BREAD
 
INGREDIENTS

1 lb flour
2 lbs wheat (ground)
3 tbsps. sugar
3 tbsps. yeast
coconut milk
1 tbsp salt
1/2 lb lard
1 tsp sugar
 
METHOD:

1. Let yeast raise in a little warm water with 1 tsp sugar.
2. Combine flour and wheat, add salt and 3 tbsps. sugar. Rub in lard. Mix flour, pouring milk a little at a time.
3. Knead until dough is smooth. Set and let raise.
4. When dough rises, knead again and cut into loaves.
5. Place in a greased pan and when it rises again bake until brown. Serve with butter or as desired.
