FRESH MANGO ICE
 
INGREDIENTS

1 cup water
1 cup orange juice
2 tbsps sugar
2 mangoes
 
METHOD - BANANAS:

1. Combine all ingredients except mangoes in a saucepan. Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Cover and boil gently for 5 mins without stirring.
2. Pour into pan and place in the freezer until cool.
3. Puree pulp from mangoes in a food blender or through a sieve until fairly smooth.
4. Add cooked orange syrup to puree and whip until fairly smooth.
5. Pour back into pan and place in freezer until layer of crystals form on top, about 1 1/2 hrs.
6. Turn into mixing bowl and heat until light and even in texture.
7. Return to pan, cover and freeze until firm.
