| HONEY MERINGUE |
| INGREDIENTS 4 egg whites 1 dash salt 1 cup honey 1 tbsp flour |
| METHOD: 1. Preheat oven to 275°F. Fill large bowl with cold water; drain, but do not wipe dry. (This prevents the meringue from stickin to the bowl) Place the egg whites in the bowl, add the salt, and beat until they form stiff but not dry peaks. Pour the honey ina f ine stream over the egg whites beating constantly for about 10-15 mins. until the meringue retains its shape. Add the flour to the mixture blending well. Oil a cookie sheet and lightly dust it with flour, scoop the meringue mixture onto the sheet with a tablespoon in small mounds. Place in the oven and bake for 30 minsutes or until a thin, hard crust forms. Do not brown. |
