| INGREDIENTS 2 cups flour 1 tsp salt 3 tsps. baking powder 1 cup milk 1/4 cup shortening |
| METHOD: 1. Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Blend with shortening until it resembles coarse corn meal. Mix in milk to form a soft dough ( Stir as little as possible ) 2. Drop dough by large spoonfuls into boiling soup. Simmer dumplings 10 minutes, uncovered. Then cover and simmer for 10 minutes more. 3. SErve dumplings in the soup or on the side. |
