| INGREDIENTS 1. tomatoes 2. sterilized jars 3. salt 4. sugar |
| METHOD: 1. Select ripe fresh tomatoes, medium sized. 2. Wash well and scald to remove skin (Dip in hot water for 2 minutes and cold water for 2 minutes) 3. Slip off skins 4. Fill sterilized jars, pack tightly. 5. Add 1 tsp salt and 2 tsps sugar to each jar. 6. Exhaust jars for 15 minutes in boiling water. Wipe edges of lids with clean cloth dipped in hot water. 7. Seal jars. 8. Sterilize in hot water 45 minutes at boiling. 9. Cool immediately. |
