| GOVERNOR PLUM WINE |
| INGREDIENTS 4 lbs governor plums 3 lbs dark sugar 4 qts. water, boiled 1/4 oz. yeast (1 pkg) |
| METHOD: 1. Wash and mash plums and place in large plastic pail. 2. Add sugar and water and stir until sugar is dissolved. 3. Dissolve yeast in a little lukewarm water and add to mixture. 4. Cover and leave for 1 week, stirring each day. 5. Strain and place in fermentation lock until fermentation ceases. 6. Strain, bottle and store for 6 months. Makes 5 quarts. |
